And we're sticking to it. . .
Watching Judas was formed in early 2006. In mid 2007, they got their first big break by beating out 250 other bands to earn a spot on CCIN's hit TV show "The Set." The show aired all across the U.S. in early August.
Watching Judas' first EP hit the shelves in late October of 2007 and turned into a surprise hit for the band, receiving radio play for all 7 tracks on the album. Despite a limited Midwest release, the single "More Than a Little Scared" was picked up for radio coverage internationally, playing at stations in Russia, the UK, Australia, and Japan.
In late 2007, Watching Judas released their first self titled cd which was an immediate hit, gaining radio play on over 50 stations in the U.S., Japan, Australia, and the U.K.
After two years of touring, the band finally announced their sophomore release "Mary Meets Sally." The group pushed the production to their musical limits, spending over a year in the studio finessing each song. They also had some help along the way, recording drums in Jupiter Studios, and mastering with legendary engineer Larry Nix (Elvis, Beck, the White Stripes).
Taking a musical cue from Coldplay, "Mary Meets Sally" teems with orchestral arrangements blended in swirling dancefloor indie pop, with a shot of electronica reminiscent of MGMT, The Postal Service, and The Killers. Debuting in 2009, the album had two songs nominated for indie awards and continues to gain airplay on stations across the globe.
As of March 2010, Watching Judas is finishing a two month stay in the studio and is preparing for 2010 spring touring.
